This is what it's all about!

I woke up this morning to Natalia's sweet little voice telling me to close my eyes and not to peek. She then told me that I could open them and she had two sweet little papers she had made in her Kindergarten class. The first page stated what she likes about her mother. She filled in the blanks.(Loved her interpretation). My Mother is very Pritee and niss. She is 25 inches tall. Her favorite color is Red. She has Hazll eyes. She has bllakc hair. The food she likes best is pech cabllrr (peach cobbler) pretty sure that's her fave.)
The second little card came with a Gladiola bulb. I definitely teared up. What a way to start the day! The Best part about it was that Scott is out of town and she remembered all on her own. Scott arranged for flowers to magically be waiting for me on the counter when I got home from the Gym on Saturday. I am glad that his little helper could find their Way through the mess.(Thanks BABE!)
I love being a mother. There is nothing that has been more challenging or rewarding than motherhood. I became a mother at 19 years old (almost 20) and feel like it has been the best thing to help me mature and learn the true meaning of patience and compassion. There is nothing like the joy of seeing your little ones smile over the simplest things in life, or the tender little kisses that they give when they can tell they are needed. I am so grateful for my mother and the example that she has always been for me.
*About a month ago A beautiful young family in our ward lost their mother from Breast Cancer. She fought a long hard fight and wanted nothing more than to be able to raise her children. That fight had to come to an end because Heavenly Father needed her help on the other side. The primary children got up to sing in church for mothers day. I looked up and saw those children that had lost their mother not so long ago and they sang with strength and courage probably knowing that their mother could hear their sweet voices. This touched my heart so deeply. This is strength that I try posess every day. Happy Mothers Day!!

And isn't motherhood the best! I can't wait to hear Olivia's little voice telling me to keep my eyes closed. :-) So much fun to look forward to!
