Welcome little Birdies!!!
We got this hanging flower basket when the first sign of spring came, and a few winter storms later it has survived. Not only that but it has become the home of our newest little friends. A few weeks ago we noticed the nest when we were watering the flowers and the kids have made an appoint to check on the eggs pretty much every day since then. Yesterday Gavin asked if we could check the eggs and lo and behold 4 of them had hatched. (There was one that hadn't hatched.) They are so funny looking but so sweet. Pretty much all you can see is starving little mouths stretched open ready to be fed. today when we checked the 5th one had hatched as well. We also went to Costco today and there are hanging baskets for sale there, Gavin asked if we could go see the eggs. Apparently he thinks all hanging baskets come with eggs and a nest in them.
Our Little Graduate!!!
Miss Natalia Graduated from Kindergarten today. I have been so emotional about this because it seriously seems like I was just holding her in my arms as a baby and now we have 3! She has come so far, just in the last year she has made leaps and bounds and she loves to learn. Her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Knight is the greatest!! I am so happy for Natalia and how hard she works. We love you!!Congrats Graduate!!(That boy she is walking by is her latest little crush...yes...she already is into that)

Happy Birthday Cambree!!
Our little Cambree girl turned 1 on the 15th. This year has gone by so fast.It seriously seems like I was just pregnant with her. She has been such a bundle of joy. For some reason I thought that she was going to be our layed back quiet one but no way. She is very persistant and full of squeals and squawks. She is also full of smiles which we love! We just had a quiet little party for her as a family. We barbecued and had a little pic nic in the backyard, and then had cupcakes. After we sang to her she swiped at the flame and burnt her little hand when she finished crying we tried it again and she did the same thing. You would think she would've learned her lesson silly girl! So it took awhile to convince her the cupcake was edible because by then she just figured it was dangerous. After she got her first taste though it was gone in seconds. Next thing we knew she was sucking on the wrapper. It was a success except we forgot to have her open up her ice cream truck toy so we did it the next morning. LOVE YOU CAMBREE!!!

This is what it's all about!
I woke up this morning to Natalia's sweet little voice telling me to close my eyes and not to peek. She then told me that I could open them and she had two sweet little papers she had made in her Kindergarten class. The first page stated what she likes about her mother. She filled in the blanks.(Loved her interpretation). My Mother is very Pritee and niss. She is 25 inches tall. Her favorite color is Red. She has Hazll eyes. She has bllakc hair. The food she likes best is pech cabllrr (peach cobbler) pretty sure that's her fave.)
The second little card came with a Gladiola bulb. I definitely teared up. What a way to start the day! The Best part about it was that Scott is out of town and she remembered all on her own. Scott arranged for flowers to magically be waiting for me on the counter when I got home from the Gym on Saturday. I am glad that his little helper could find their Way through the mess.(Thanks BABE!)
I love being a mother. There is nothing that has been more challenging or rewarding than motherhood. I became a mother at 19 years old (almost 20) and feel like it has been the best thing to help me mature and learn the true meaning of patience and compassion. There is nothing like the joy of seeing your little ones smile over the simplest things in life, or the tender little kisses that they give when they can tell they are needed. I am so grateful for my mother and the example that she has always been for me.
*About a month ago A beautiful young family in our ward lost their mother from Breast Cancer. She fought a long hard fight and wanted nothing more than to be able to raise her children. That fight had to come to an end because Heavenly Father needed her help on the other side. The primary children got up to sing in church for mothers day. I looked up and saw those children that had lost their mother not so long ago and they sang with strength and courage probably knowing that their mother could hear their sweet voices. This touched my heart so deeply. This is strength that I try posess every day. Happy Mothers Day!!
