Poor Baby

I was at the gym today just running away on the treadmill and I see one of the daycare ladies coming toward me with a worried face. She usually makes a big deal out of small things like little scratches so I wasn't too worried when she said Cambree hurt her finger. When I got in there and they showed it to me I had a quick panic and for some reason was able to stay calm (mom instinct I guess). The manager of the day care drove over to Urgent care with me where we were quickly turned away and sent to the ER. She stayed with Natalia and gavin while I was with Cambree.
Trying to keep ice and a wash cloth on a 2 year old for 2 hours is no fun. Especailly when you are worried the tip that is hanging off is going to completely detach. She was sedated so that helped but the tiredness only lasted like 45 min. and then she got pretty silly. she started singing cute little songs really loudly and saying silly things. And then she got irratable which was the hard part. She wanted out of my lap and to tear her heart rate monitor off. when the doc came in he said "Sorry for the wait seems like the medicine wore off, better give her another dose". The nerve...
He did a good job though. I didn't watch him stitch it back together I just focused on her eyes and sang to her to keep her calm. she kept asking for her sissy which was so sweet. She was pretty much in a straight jacket, and her finger was completely numb so that helped. After a few grunts of frustration he got it all put back together, and they bandaged it up good.
The rest of the day has gone fairly well, you never would have guessed. She was pretty chipper
considering the morning she had. I didn't have a camera with me at the hospital and my phone was dead but it is probably a good thing. Who wants to see that???

We still don't know how it happened.Wish she could communicate well enough to tell me. Poor girl...they think she some how got it stuck under the chair. I wish I knew...My dad came to vist! And so did Zach and Deena! He brought cambree a sweet little gift.

Poor little thing! I love looking at all of the pictures. I can totally see you in your children- I love it! Your family is beautiful. Hope you don't have any more accidents.
