Turning 27!!

I turned 27 on Tuesday.I remember when I turned 24 I felt like it was the perfect age. I felt old and mature, yet young and full of life. Guess I need to be happy I have 3 more years left in my 20's.Life is good though. I am so happy to have 3 healthy children that I care about so much and a hardworking husband thats still got it (even though he's 30;))Life is fun in all stages for different reasons and I guess we need to sit back and enjoy while stresses hang out on the wayside.(That's a hard one for me)
My Birthday was great.I get more excited for my kids birthdays than my own but it is always a day I can feel a little special. Scott and I went to the Sushi House for lunch(so yummy) and then we did a little bit of shopping. That night we had a Dinner with Scott's family. Sher Bear(Scott's mom) treated us all to dinner which was so kind. We had already checked into a hotel that is near our house earlier that day, so I was thinking we would just head back there but we had to "grab something" from home first and to my surprise had some friends and more family there to celebrate with a DQ cake. My favorite:)Thanks to everyone that stoped by it was fun and so nice of you! We then went back to the hotel, soaked in the hot tub, and relaxed. We even slept in till 9:30 which NEVER happens. Thanks to everyone that helped watch our kids while we were away. Here's to another good year!!

First Family Camping Trip

We haven't even attempted to go camping as a family all these years.Scott has always preferred the cabin setting. Natalia requested that we go camping for the night of her birhtday, and when Scott was all about it I was excited. It is pretty coveniant that we can drive a half hour up the canyon into full on camping territory. We had a great time. We borrowed Travis and Andreas huge tent and set it up while our tin foil dinners were cooking in the fire. The dinner was simple yet delicious with hamburger, onion, carrots, potatoes and seasoning. After dinner we played and went on a walk. The kids found a dog that they played with for awhile.too. We also roasted smores, they are so so yummy with reeses cups, I had like 4. The night went better than expected and we survived our first one nighter maybe we'll get brave and go for 2 next time:)

Natalia's 7th Birthday

Natalia turned 7 on July 8th.Her birthday is always a big deal planned year round and plans are always changing but when it comes down to it she pretty much goes with the flow.I asked if she would like a Luau theme with water games and a BBQ and she went with it so that was easy. There are so many good girls her age in our neighborhood. Many of them were able to make it and then she also had a few of her cousins there. Natalia is a great leader. She is always eager to learn and is way to mature for her age but I know it will be good down the road. We love her so much!!Her party was a success!

4th of July

Scott's Family was in town for the 4th of July.Everyone but Kirt and Lacey and Dynie and Trent were there. I kicked off the celebration by filling in for a friend in the Freedom Run Half Marathon. The first half was a breeze down hill and the second half was pretty darn hard. Part of it was actually hiking trails uphill bu then it ended at the capitol building in SLC.Scott and Beav were at the end cheering me on.When it was over I was glad I did it. The rest of the day was fun.My sis Elyssa was in town as well so she joined in on the Schwab fun.We had a picnic at an elementary school and played baseball and kick ball.It was a ton of fun!!Scott's parents had to get on the road but that evening we ordered pizza and did fireworks at our place. We also watched the fireworks that were set off at Thanksgiving Point

Family fun

We have had a funfilled summer so far and it has flown by.I have been meaning to update the blog but just haven't so I am sure I will miss some things. We had Zach and Deena and their kids here with my dad the first part of the summer and we had a lot of fun. We watched Derek play Soccer at BYU and took the kids to Monkey Island and stuff.

Natalia went home with my dad because he thought they were going to come back down for a reception but didn't make it so I decided to make a trip that way because Scott was going to be in California for work. After not seeing Natalia for a week and a half it was great to see her and to spend some time in Boise. I was able to see some good friends I hadn't seen in a long time. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of us but I was able to spend some loooooong overdue quality time with my BEST friend Gretchen. We were like sisters when we were little and inseperable. We ran on the green belt together for 11 miles and we talked nonstop. It went by so fast! I would ask her a question and before she could finish I had a new question to ask her. LOVE that girl!It was also so good to see her family:)
We went to the Zoo with my mom and Elyssa and Deena and her sister and the kids. I hadn't been to Zoo Boise in forever. It is a pretty good zoo!I was impressed. We had a few Marshmallow roasts and BBQs and like always and all around good time. On the way home we stopped in Rupert for a Taylor/Buckley family reunion.I was so close to my cousins growing up it has been crazy never seeing them anymore.I wish i could have stayed longer and would have been able to visit better with everyone. It was so so good to see everyone! We then headed back to Utah.

Cambrees finger update

Here is the only picture I took of her finger. This is soon before she got her stitches out. Right after she got them removed we were at my parent and We heard a door slam and then her scream.Gavin had slammed her same finger in the door. Let's just say I freaked out when i saw the blood and that it was the same finger.Luckily there was no more damage and it all was okay. Now you wouldn't even know except her nail is still brown and if you look close you can see the stitching scars but she is doing great!

Our New Playhouse

After days and days of hard work and help from friends our playhouse is done.We saw it at Costco in January and made a poster for the kids to earn it. After 5 months they met their goal and we went and got the playhouse. When we saw all the boxes I asked Scott if we should look into hiring someone to put it together. He said"Naw, I can get this done in 1 day." Let's just say after that day we were so grateful that we had more help. My sister Arielle and her boyfriend Ezra helped on Saturday and Scott's brother Mark his wife Brittney and their boys helped with most of the rest. There were not very good instructions, a few missing pieces, and the parts weren't labeled so it made the job pretty tedious.
